I get asked a lot - I must have an honest face or something - and if I am sure, I will direct, but if I don;t know, I will admit it straight off, saves confusion.

That reminds me - a couple of months ago, a gorgeous young lady in a car asked me whre a pseicic car park was, and where a street was. the car park was in sight, so I hopped in her car and showed her the entrance, then walked her to her street, stopping on the way for her to get some change from a paper shop. I then walked her back to her car, which was just by whre i worked.

As we parted, I told her that she was really beautiful, and I had really enjoyed spending fifitreen minutes with her, and then walked away in case she thought iwas trying to chat her up - which I wasn't.

I think it's nice to tell a woman she is beautiful, especially if you can walk away and leave her with the compliment, and not feeling awkward about what;s coming next.

When my boys were little, and i'de just pinched a big chew off them, you could guarantee someone would stop me and ask for directions. It was quite an art to get the chew into the corner of my mouth without dribblng too much.................
