I have a two year old Panasonic video player which suddenly changed its display from normal to loads of lights and illegible words. I turned it off and then on again in an attempt to reset it, but now doesn`t show any light at all. I`ve tried changing the fuse, but it still won`t work. Any ideas or simple solutions please?

Best to cut your losses and either spend lots on labour charges to get it fixed or upgrade to a dvd recorder, the discs work out cheaper than video cassettes and the quality is much better.

If you have lots of stuff on video and can't bear the upgrade then go for a video tape and dvd recorder combi.
