I have a few month old Samsung WS-32M64V TV, and have recently noticed that it gives out a high pitched noise even when muted, that happens more on bright pictures. Does anyone know what this is, what causes it and whether I should be worried/do anything about it?

Its the HT scan power supply transformer. Not usually anything to worry about but B$%$%^y irritating I know!
My old Fergie does that, i find changing channels sometimes reduces it, but this have obvious drawbacks if you're watching something.

So is it something that can be fixed easily? You're right, it is DAMN annoying! Changing channels doesn't seem to make any difference, unless the picture on the other channel is considerably darker. The TV is still under warranty so would that be covered?
