Yesterday i upgraded windows media player to 11 then realised I didn't want it and went into the control panel and removed it. and now each time i go into my documents on my computer a large panel appears which says WELCOME TO WINDOWS MEDIA PLAYER 10 how can i get rid of this. I have been into the control panel AGAIN but there is no sign of Media 10 there for me to remove,CAN ANYONE PLEASE HELP!!!!!
PS its affected all my documents....

You could try a Restore to a previous date ?

Go to Start-Progs-Accessories-System Tools- System Restore. then pick a date you wish to go back to eg: before you installed WM11. just follow the instructions. Good luck let me know how you get on :-)

Hi Jacey, went into system restore and lo and behold there is W. media Player 10, and also Software Distribution Centre, before I cancel what is Software Distribution Centre, I don't recall having anything to do with this, do I need to remove this as well,

not sure Gulliver best google it, prob be okay, any probs u can always restore again to another date. back in half hour, hair needs drying. let know ok ? :-)

Thanks a million Jacey, everything is back to normal, I've made a note of how to restore system, all up and running all thanks to you cheers..
