driver problem windows 7

hi im on windows 7 wich ive installed on my pc numerous time but for some reason now i get a driver that doesnt load or i have no idea what driver to look for to get it to work.in device manager it says unknown device under other devices ive tried to update driver etc but finds nothing.if right click properties it says location on pci standard isa bridge code 28 device type other devices manufacturer unknown,under details it says acpi/pnp0510 and alsopnp0510, under resources it says this device isnt using any recources because it has a problem.so what driver do i need to find to sort this out as i just have no idea what its on about...many thanks in advance

It's an infra red port.

If you post the make and model of the laptop (I assume) it may be possible to find a windows7 driver for it, although unless you have a need to use the IR port you could just ignore it. (although I hate having unknown devices in the device manager even if I don't need them :))

thanks it a built system but i didnt even no it had infra red port on it.any ways ive got a ati radeon hd 4200 processor is a amd athlon 11 x 3 405e processor.the mother board is a asrock m3a785gmh/128m if that makes sence...is this what u need to know or if anything else please let me know it has 4gb ddr3 memory 1tb hard drive.many tanks if you could help me find a driver that be great and thanks again.just dont no why it saying unknown device now as ive put windows 7 on here numerous times and never had it say this before so thats odd.thanks again

forgot to say its windows 7 ultimate 32bit if that makes any difference....
That board has a IR header on it, you may not have the IR transceiver connected though.

I'd guess you've made some sort of change in the BIOS (or updated it) which has turned on the IR header, if you go into the BIOS and disable it again the unknown device will go away.

best of my knowledge i havent changed anything but ive looked in bios just now and dont see anything saying infra red etc were do i need to look and what under please..or is there any other way to get rid without going into bios..as just cant see what to look for there.sorry to be pain
According to the manual it's under advanced > superIO configuration, then set the IR port address to disabled.
