Firefox plug-in

I have recently downloaded Firefox for my internet browser.

There is now a blue icon asking me to download a plug-in, is it safe to do so?

Should be fine,

You will probably get that a couple of times when you first start using it the first time you go to sites with flash animations etc but once it's downloaded them once you won't get asked again.
