Windows 2000/XP

My laptop is a Pentium 3 800 128 ram 12gig drive.It run fine with windows 9x but when i run 2000/xp it slows down the internet browsing is slow and it is slow to boot up .
Any ideas?

bit technical but here you go - simply follow precisely :) goto start run type in gpedit.msc then look for the branch administrative templates network QOS packet scheduler limit reservable bandwidth give it a setting, notice there's a setting in there of 20% make this 0% close reboot go to control panel see network connections, and check that your internet connection : QOS is enabled reboot enjoy

you need some more ram.windows 2k and xp need more memory to run as fast as 98.
