I have just removed Norton by going to their website and downloading their own removal tool, you pick what version you have and follow the instructions

Oh THANK YOU!!!!
Since christmas this pexy Norton 360 has reminded me countless times every day, that my sub had run out.
Despite all my efforts, I could not remove it - SO simple! never thought of it myself!!!
IT HAS NOW DISAPPEARED!!!!
