Does anyone know how to get rid of an ie-frame from my desktop. I was putting a desktop shotcut link from the newspaper independent.co.uk when I realised it was downloading a program. I cancelled it only for some sort of glitch putting it on the desktop (operational on the internet). I've hunted through files and it is generated by windows and will not let me delete anything - tried moving things to a memory stick but it won't let me. Finally, I decided to install firefox only for them to copy over all the files - so it is still there. HELP. Don't know what else to do. When I disable it when I go onto the internet it comes back.

try...

right click on the desktop, select properties, then click on the desktop tab... then click on "customize desktop" then click on the web tab.

You should now see the web items you have on the desktop, click on any you don't want and click delete
