I am joining Sky and got the package with broadband. Do I have to use their router when it comes or can I keep the router I'm using? Also do I need to change settings when my ISP changes from Orange to Sky?
Cheers

Using the same router depends, a lot of ISP supplied routers are locked so they will only work with their own service, if your current router was privately bought (or if it's not locked) then yes you can use your current router. (BTW if it's an orange livebox they are locked to orange only)

As for changing settings, if you can reuse your current router all you need to change is the username and password for the broadband account in the routers setup pages.

Thanks a lot ChuckFickens, thats excactly what I needed to know. It's my own router that I bought myself and the range is very good wirelessly so I don't want to change it.
Top answer, cheers.
