Photos on a cd

I've just muddled my way through to burning a load of photos on to a CD-RW. The cd plays on another (older) pc (without a burner), but it does not play on a dvd player.

Can someone please tell me if I've possibly done something wrong, because I'm only guessing at what I'm doing.

Not all DVD players will play CD-RW. Are you sure that yours does?

Sounds as if it doesn`t play CD-RW, try the disc in someone else`s player.
I would copy the disc to a CD-R, and try that.
