I share a BT line & we use Wireless BT Broadband.
I am interested in Be Broadband, my question, is it possible to have 2 Broadband suppliers using the same BT line or will I need to go to the expense of having another line installed?

Be* have their own equipment in the local exchange which uses a different technology than BT (well, its more up-to-date).
i also think i know of cases where someone has used 2 lines for their broadband which is technically possible however i am unsure why you would want 2 ISP's.

Whiskeryron,
I don't know who you share your phone line with, but you can share the broadband between you both and all your computers.
Having two phone lines and two broadband providers will be a complete waste of money.
You could share your broadband service, and the cost, with the neighbours if you wanted. I mean, to put it in perspective, a business will run all its computers from one phone line. They don't have a separate phone line for every computer on the Internet.

The reason I put the question is, I am elderley & live with my daughter & son in law,we share broadband from BT which sometimes is so slow it comes to a halt,& because the BT contract still has 6 months to run I was hoping to start Be before cancelling BT, obviously I can't do that, but thanks for your help.

i have cencelled my Bt contract before it was due to expire before. read the smallprint and see if you can find a hole. i found one where they planned to charge some money for something, i disputed it by citing the small print and saved some money.
i will also add, take note of any changes to the service/contract, as you can use that as an exucse to leave the contract also (they are changing it and you dont agree).
