I have a 6month old LG 1080p lcd tv and when ever i watch a blu ray there is a humming/buzzing noise coming from the back of the tv.The noise is a low rising to a higher buzzing noise. This only happens when i watch a blu ray,i have a playstation 3 and a sony blu ray player and its thesame with both.I use a HDMI cable and have tried several different ones but makes no difference. So this problem only only seems to occur when using HDMI,normal tv and scarts on other things are fine. Also i havnt heard the noise while playing games on the playstation which is strange. Please could you help me,thanks!
Next time you're watching the Blu Ray, gently move the HDMI socket on the player up and down to see if the buzzing disappears...if it does, then there is a short in that socket which will need rectifying by a qualified person. Also, make sure the playstation is disconnected, as there could be an impedance mis-match with that when using modern equipment.
At least, now you know that there is a mis-match when using the play station with the HDMI lead connected to your system. You should keep it free from any type of game consoles,as you could damage it. Try to get a separate TV for games. Hope you get it sorted, and thanks for reply! PP1
