In the manuals for the 2 motherboards i have bought the mention that it is possible to get accessories to attach to the motherboard it's self such as an infra-red attachment and a optical input/output , I have tried on the Aopen website with no success and i have tried a google search but come up with fans etc. Does anyone know where i can find them?

You don't specify what motherboards you have and what you plan to do with the IrDA / optical i/o... I think the IrDA port just allows you to hook up an IR receiver.  You can then use some IR software and remote control to control the PC.  As for optical i/o, just plugging in an optical cable and plugging the other end into a surround sound decoder is all that's possible there as far as I know.
