text games

years ago I enjoyed some text only software games - the idea was you had to find your way to  various "clues" to enable you to win the game.  Does anyone remember such games and do they still exist?

I used to do loads of text games - my favourite was the "Time & Magick" series, although it's worth checking out "Jacaranda Jim" and "Humbug" by Graham Cluely. I think that all of them are now in the public domain and can be downloaded from lots of sites.
