How do I move a video clip that is currently on my desktop in windows media player, to put it in an email?

Just attach it.

Be warned though, your service provider may have limits on the size of attachments, and if it is still OK, just make sure whoever gets it is not on dial up (some still are) as they won't thank you for the slowness.
