nikon 18-55mm lens

the lens has jammed at 55 mm other than taking it to
profesional repairer any ideas how to fix and explain why this could happen . the lens isof course just out of guarantee

because it's faulty ....
that's what happens when things break ....

it could be absolutely anything ... only way is to dismantle and look ... or hit it repeatedly in different directions then see if that's cleared whatever
Hi Suzzy,

I have the same lens and it also jams on me.

I solve the problem by switching it to manual focus then give the focus ring at the front a good firm twist. Then I switch back to Auto Focus.

I think the reason for mine to jam is because I keep it in a camera bag pointing downwards.
