I am thinking of buying a FM/AM radio. Am I wasting my money as everything will be digital in the near future.

radio won't be switching to digital until at least 2020, and that's very likely to be put back further.

So your fm/am radio will be OK for at least another 11years!

You can pick a digital radio up now for around �15 - �20. There is a lot better sound quality off them.
