Wireless Doorbell

I have inherited a wireless doorbell with the house I moved into recently. It looks like the chime/noisemaker is also the alarm siren. I had my front door replaced recently and during the installation the remote door bell was removed and re-placed on another part of the house (still near the door). Since the installation the door bell still works, but the sound is barely legible (extremely quiet). I changed the battery in the remote unit, but it didn't help a bit. Any idea of what I should do to fix it?

I think the problem is with the indoor unit. The remote push button will only send a signal to the indoor unit telling it to 'chime' although I could be wrong. Try moving the chimer nearer to the door and testing it. You could also try moving bell push back to roughly where it was on old door (use sticky tape) and see if problem is still there.

is there a volume switch on the chime unit you've knocked by accident?

I have a Volume Switch on mine set to Max. As ChuckFickens says, check your Vol Control Switch on the Receiver and reset it as it is picking up the signal

As we are talking about wireless doorbell. I think that by using simple door bell i prefer video doorbell, because it helps to see and talk to the person outside home premises without opening the door. This system helps to secure home too.
