don't you think it would be a good idea, when making hew keyboards to have three new keys:
.com
.co.uk
and www.
instead of all the ones we don't use?

i've just read my question and realise how incredibly lazy i sound!!

if you have an address that starts with www and ends with .com you can just type the middle bit into IE and press CONTROL and ENTER and it will fill the rest in for you.

So type google, press CTRL+Enter and you will be taken to www.google.com

And for the real lazy gits,like me,How about a voice controlled key pad,where you just say what you want to type and the keyboard does the typing.

it didn't take me to google.com though, it gave me the list of options. have i done it wrong?

Type the word "google" into your address bar then press control and enter at the same time. Are you using internet explorer?
