I had a TV in the bedroom that could receive Sky from my set in the sittingroom via a normal tv aeriel wire connecting the two sets. I have now puchased a TV with built in freeview any idea how I can tune a chanel to receive Sky again. My previous set up was having Sky on chanel 6 and freeview from a separate box. My new TV is a Samsung model 26B450 if that helps.

Thanks in advance

Sussed it myself - found a anaolgue channel and was able to tune Sky into that. Thank heavens !!!
Love to know how you did that as sky is digital.

Don't know how it works but it has done for years. My Sky box is in my sitting room connected to the TV in there by HDMI. I have an ordinary aerial wire running up to the TV in my bedroom. We can only watch the same channel that is on downstairs obviously.

I thought I would try an Analogue channel to tune it to because my simple mind told me it was just an ordinary aerial wire so would be analogue and also there were no spare Digital channels to try and tune it to. That's the limit to my technical expertise.
Hi whiskeryron, I did this too when sky was installed. Just turn on your sky box to sky 1 then go and tune in a channel on your tv until you can see sky 1 or maybe a different sky channel, then save the setting. I have done this to a couple of sets and they all work.
