It looks like a lake since there are tributaries running to it, one from the River Wapoga, and has a constant elevation of around 1 metre.

Doesn't look much like a lake if you zoom in - looks like a giant printed circuit board!

It's in New Guinea, and printed circuit or not, it seems there's a lot of it about.
