Wii blowing the fuse

When I turn the plug for the Wii on at the wall, it blows the fuse in the plug. If I then change the fuse it works fine as long as the plug stays switched on, if I turn it off at the wall, the next time I turn it on it blows the fuse again.
Any suggestions?

Sounds like the socket, not the wii. Does it do this with other appliances as well? If so then you need a new socket.
or it sounds like a very badly wired socket, leave it switched off with nothing plugged in and get it checked!

I have had other things plugged into the socket with no problems. Will get it looked in to though.

Have you tried the Wii in a different socket?
Question Author
I have! Never thought of that earlier, but I have tried it in different sockets and it still does the same thing! Sorry if I seem a bit 'stupid' for not remembering, but this problem happened a couple of months ago. It only occured to me yesterday to post, as yesterday was the first time I had been on here in a while.
