Digital Recorder query

Don`t know if anyone can give me a pointer in the right direction. I today became the proud owner of an Hitachi Digital TV recorder, Mydaughter installed it and announced it all done, so I returned to TV and it wasn`t until later that I realised I have no idea how to move from TV mode to my recorder to record something, Have tried AV option but nothing is coming up. What am I doing wrong??

Looks like might be sorted seems its crashed just after install and needed to be unplugged so will have a play around with it

nope no nearer have so called recorded a programme it didn`t stop when required and just a blue screen again pah my old vcr was so simple, neer mind tomorrow is another day

Hi, not too sure about it but have you already switched to Digital. If so it could be that your recorder is tuned to the Analogue tuner. We in the South West have changed and every time I tune on my Video I get a Blue screen. I know that some of these boxes have both an Analogue and a Digital tuner so could be on the wrong one. Sorry can't be of more help.
