I want to change the message recorded for when I cannot take the call but cannot find any reference to it in the user guide. I want to revert to the standard message.

Your messaging service isn't on your phone. It's on the phone company's server. So you're reading the wrong manual. You need to read the one which relates to the services offered by O2, Vodafone or whoever else provides your mobile phone service. If you can't find the information there, try their website. Alternatively post a reply to this thread, telling us which phone provider you're with.
