Hi just bought Acer notebook on the above o/s my question is how do you set a picture that i have saved and set as desktop background - no matter where i right click the picture the option to set as desktop background aint there.....very strange....any ideas.

The answer is very simple,then.
You can't change it.

Sorry to hijack your thread. Having to buy an new laptop, what Windows 7 should I be looking for, bearing in mind that I am not very computer literate. Any advise would be welcome. TAI

The home editions are fine for most people

OK thanks, guys so, for someone who just wants to surf perhaps book the odd flight and buy the odd DVD, is Windows 7 Starter OK for that or would it be worth my while to just take it in somewhere like PC World and Upgrade to the next W7 edition ?

Starter should be fine for your needs. If you find it isn't, upgrade. But see how it goes.
