samsung U600 - screen has gone blank,but phone still works...??

hi,

my u600 screen has gone blank and dark, though the light behind is stil visibly on around the edges, but the phone will still let me dial out and talk and still rings etc...other buttons such as volume still work etc...but the screen is blank

i took the back off to see if any loose connections, but couldnt really see anything to tighten etc...a few mins later the display cam back on, but it was distorted, jagged then it went off again...

any ideas why this is or tips how i can get it back again, before i end up taking i for repair...it seems like a loose connction, but i cant see where..

my phone samsung steel did exactly the same last week, i took it to be repaired and was told there was a fault batch of samsung on the market ( something to do with the keypad) and got a free upgrade replacement

I have had mine for over 18 months now, not had a problem at all except for the enamel covering getting chipped around the edges.

Is yours still under warranty?
