Burning CDs to play on my Arcam CD73
5 Answers
Hi. I have a number of Sony CD-Rs which people have burned albums onto for me, and they play perfectly in my Arcam CD73 player. However, when I burn them myself using Windows Media Player, they do not work, but they work on my Panasonic DAB radio / CD player. I have downloaded the albums from the net and converted them to MP3 files before burning them, but the Arcam just wont play them. I will reiterate however that they do play the ones other people have burned for me. What am I doing wrong?

I tried burning MP3 files to an ASDA CD-R disk, turned the burn speed down as low as possible, and put as many songs on the disk as I could fit. Apparently this all makes a difference. That plays fine. Then I tried the same onto a Sony disk and that won't play at all. I think the upshot is, it's all very temperamental and you just have to play around with it.
