Windows Vista problem
3 Answers
I have recently encountered a problem with Vista.
An error message appears each time I boot up:
WINDOWS SOFTWARE PROTECTION
An Unauthorised change was made to Windows.
You will no longer receive notifications, including those about your licence or authorisation. Use the link below to find out how to fix your system.
Error: 0xC004D401
Description: The security processor system reported a system file mismatch error.
I have lost the ability to use a number of Windows application. Using the link, it suggests that some incompatible software has been installed, but I have added nothing recently.
Any ideas?

Once the command line window has opened type into it "sfc /scannow" and hit enter
Windows will now scan all important system files and restore any that have been changed back to default.
once completed run a full scan with your anti virus software.
