backup question

i backup my itunes every now & then. when doing a backup of my hard drive, i noticed it was backing up itunes files as well. does this mean i dont need to do a separate itunes one, or is it a different type of backup?
my apologies if this is a stupid question- its just not obvious to me.

Sounds like you are backing them up twice.

That said, the more backups of something important you have the better, so carry on as you are.
