Derby didn't lose thank goodness ~ but then again they didn't win either. :o)
Going to watch Lynda La Plante's offering tonight. I like her work. I watched that thing called Zen last night but didn't like it at all. Did anybody else watch it? What did you think?
Anybiddy heard from Vinny lately? Haven't seen him for ages.

Don't worry Jude..as long as no innocents are involved he's best left to get on with it.
No, not a word from Vinny, hope he's ok.
It'll soon be tweflth...twethf..oh booger,12th night....and we'd better sort out some place to go, preferably one with plenty of space if you all intend doing your 'Keep fit with Eileen Fowler' moves. I'll just sit and watch and finish off any surplus stollen.

I think he's busy giving master classes, Jude http://i54.tinypic.com/ztgkr6.jpg ...but seriously no haven't a clue but I miss him:'(
Wasn't Eileen Fowler the founder of The League of Health and Beauty. My sister and I were in that with our Mum and we put on a show at the 1951 Exhibition on Basses Recreation Ground in a big Marquee. We wore white silk blouses with the badge on and black silky pants. I loved it.

Morning all...light sprinkling of snow but blue sky peeping through. I didn't see the eclipse, it was very cloudy so I didn't think it was worth waiting but my sister saw it & said it was lovely, very red.
Oh that's a shame Jude, were you wearing a hat, scarf or hood? Could it be stuck in there...or even to your shoulder or collar? That happened to me once. Many years ago I found a lost earring in the turn-up on my trousers, haha

The only earrings I ever wore were big plastic clip on hoop things back in the sixties. I have never had pierced ears. I am sorry about your earring Jude. It is so upsetting to lose things like that.
Well, I watched the eclipse over the field at the back of us and the sky was clear. The sun was so bright so I could only take odd glimpses, but it was quite something to witness
Have been following the Saga of Invictus!!
See you later.

Hello Biddyfriends, I feel better now. It was only an earring wasn't it.There are worse things to lose than that. I did retrace my steps twice though but no luck.
Have been to our first session of Tai Chi since before Christmas and then went to the pub for Chicken Chasseur, veg and mash for lunch. Very nice.
Didn't watch the Lynda La Plante drama last night but intend to catch up with tonight's episode.
Last night instead I got into tracing my Great Grandad's military career and found all the documents from when he signed on at 18 in 1870 to when he left after 21 years. Brilliant. He was serving in India for most of the time and 7 of his children were born there. When they came home they had 3 more. My next aim is to find a copy of his original Marriage Certificate which may prove difficult as he was married in India to a lady who was born in Waterford Eire.
Bye for now going to get my usual !

I've forgotten to say I did a tarot reading for a total stranger in a cafe a couple of weeks ago...! The story begins at a New Age type of bookstore where I was seated studying something-or-other when I heard another customer ask the sales lady for advice on good starter books on tarot. Well there's a lot of nonsense written on the subject and after the sales lady had left I offered my own opinion to that other customer. We started talking and she became really interested in the way I see it - what tarot is good for and what it isn't good for. (You may recall I don't believe in predicting the future.)
Out of nowhere she asked me to do a reading for her, and I did, with the deck she was buying. We went to a nearby cafe and sat there for hours and we were both amazed at the things that came out of my mouth. I swear we humans know more about each other than we think that we possibly could, and in a situation like this when we are able to hide behind "the wisdom of the cards" it becomes apparent. Very exciting. We were stunned, lol!
