PC to Hi-Fi Connection

Is there such a cable that will link my PC speaker sockets to my stereo amplifier. The socket sizes are different, and Currys don't do the relevant sizes. Would specialist Richer-type shops do them?

Maplins or any similar store would have what you need. I would expect that your PC has a small headphone style jack and your stereo would have phono inputs. You should be able to get the correct cable, or an adaptor that plugs into your PC that will connect to a phono cable.

 

Not sure if it would work though, as there may be amplification considerations. I would try to get the cables/adaptors from a "Pound" shop - you'd be surprised at what they stock - at least if it doesn't work, you've not spent a fortune on the attempt.

The cables and/or converters are available. Thats what I do - my PC is the centre for all music and DVD for my house. Your sound card should have a GREEN headphone-type socket, and this goes directly to the AUX or LINE-IN on your amp.
