Favourites-oh no

As previously mentioned,Internet Explorer is not happy with my new PC.Got all updates and am going to nag the computer shop soon,but the good side is I have opened my eyes to other browsers.I love opera and firefox BUT I do miss my favourites.I have them saves as a file on a USB thingy but dont know how to get the other browsers to 'bookmark' them.Is this possible or should I uninstall the browsers and re install and'import'them(I did not do this in the first place cos I didn't know what they meant! oops)Any help or do I have to go to each site and start again(with both browsers that should be a fun day!)Thanks
