Connecting new phone to the internet
6 Answers
I got a new phone today which, apparently, has access to the internet, face book, etc... but when I try it just pops up 'Service unavailable'. Now I'm not the sharpest tool in the box, but is there something I need to do (well, obviously there must be!), as the instruction book is rubbish and I can't get any information off the Vodaphone web site....
ps - it's a Samsung Genio Slide model, if that helps... ;-)

Go here, and WAP and messaging setup according to PAYG or Contract, then you will find that you can send/trigger a text update message or two with all the settings in them. Update your phone with them, reboot, and it should work ok.

Albags - did that and I got sent some configuration texts, to which I pressed 'install', but it's still not working - I tried to log into facebook and after a glimmer of hope when the screen said 'logging in', it then declared 'Disconnected'. I'll have to take it back to the shop and get them to do it. Because I canged from PAYG to contract, I had to turn the phone off for an hour or so, and I didn't fancy hanging round for that long, and stupidly though I'd be able to do it myself! Ha!
Thank you anyway ;-)
And Bear - cheeky.. you'll give me a bad name!!
