Where has my icon gone?

Good morning all.

I used to have an icon at the bottom of my screen, showing me how much charge was in the laptop battery. The icon has disappeared. Does anyone know why this has happened, and how I can get it back please?

Goto the control panel, double click power options, click on the advanced tab and put a tick in always show icon.

Thanks Chuck. Something mighty strange is happening. I did that and there was a tick already there ..... but still no icon showing on my screen. [:o(

Take the tick out, click ok, then go back to it and put the tick in it again and click OK again.

(there are ways to unhide it, but removing it and putting it back again is easier)
