what happens to the thousands of tv that the stores have running hundreds of hours and getting fingered by all and sundry
how do they get rid of them,are they cleaned up and sold to cut price stores?

Probably the ones sold last at end of line as "reduced"

you can buy them from currys website
4Get has about a dozen now.
I have one, cheeky!! Just as new £120.00 for a 22" dvd combi flatscreen for bedroom. Then took me another 2 months before they sent remote.
if you go in store to buy a tele and its not in stock you can buy the display model at a reduced cost with the same warrentys
and then in my living room....

Maybe they sell them on Ebay as shop soiled.
Plenty for sale refurbished from companies on ebay, cheap.
usually advertised as "managers special" at reduced price.
I bought one which lasted just beyond the gaurantee and phftt. fini. Still got it, and can`t get a spare part anywhere.
I once bought one, because it was the only one of that particular model left.

After years of trouble free service, I let a student have it for his flat, and bought the latest (at that time) flat screen digital Phillips TV.This Phillips lasted just 2 years, before going expensively wrong.

My old TV? still going strong, the last time I enquired.
