For more on marking an answer as the "Best Answer", please visit our FAQ.If the memory stick itself doesn't show up on your computer, try rebooting the computer (with the memory stick unplugged) and then plugging it in again. Sometimes something as simple as that will work. Or try another USB port (ensuring that you use a port directly on your PC, not via a hub).
If the memory stick shows up, but appears to be empty then (after checking that you've actually plugged in the correct memory stick!), try this:

In either case it might also be worth trying the memory stick with a different computer.

While that recovery programme is well recommended by many people,I've not actually used it myself.
I'm guessing that it's asking you where you'd like to put any recovered files. So there's probably a button that allows you to navigate to a suitable place on your PC (such as 'My Documents', or you could create a new folder and call it 'Recovered'). Then, when you proceed, any recovered files will appear there (rather than on your memory stick).
