there are hundred's of places that convert photos to dvds, and store them etc. How do i know whether they're any good or not?
Has anyone used one?

many many apologies for the unecessary apostrophe - i'm mortified!
You can put photos in jpg format onto a cd or dvd. Most dvd players will then play them automatically as a "slideshow". Try it.

yes, i have done that for myself, but this is for an elderly neighbour, who has hundreds of slides. When you google it, there are so many companies, i just wondered if anyone had used them.
you can get a slide scanner that might be cheaper if she has hundreds

that is an option, but it would be me who does it, and with two jobs and three kids - i don't have a lot of time!
