I've just got a Packard Bell Laptop which I like a lot. However I can't seem to get the scroll down or up to work properly on the finger plate. It works fine the first time I scroll but then all I get is a little picture of a rightscreen scroll and nothing happens. I have to revert to the arrows at the side.
Can anyone help?

I get that sometimes. If it does it I have a little mouse so I use that instead for a while and then it seems to go ok again :-?

Thanks for that both. My old laptop scrolled very well and I noticed that my bh's new one didn't scroll like mine. Now this new one is doing the same as his. Are they over egging the technology these days?
Newer packard bells have a multi gesture touchpad, which means you can use two fingers on it and do all sorts of different things like zoom, scroll, go back a page on the browser.... etc etc..

Most of the functions are actually really good if you get used to them (try dragging two fingers down the touch pad to scroll)

if you really don't like them you should be able to turn off the multi gesture in Control panel > mouse/ > device settings > settings.
