Have just lost the 'framework' around the IE page - as a result of downloading IE9? How do I get back the line(s) at the top of the page (File, Edit, Tools, Help etc.) and at the bottom (completion of page load, magnification etc.) please?
Cannot get this question into the right area of AB either. Everytime I click on 'Computers' the space for the question disappears!!

Press F11

(and problems like the question box disappearing are why it's not recommended to use beta versions of software, try clicking on the compatibility button)
Not too sure of IE9, but it sounds like your in 'full screen' view. Try pressing F11

Think I need to go back to IE8. Do I need to download it or can I just turn a switch in Control panel?
you'd be better off (IMO) switching to a decent browser like firefox :)

just uninstall IE9 and check to make sure it's set IE8 to be the default browser again.

So - where do I uninstall; can't find IE9 (or IE8) listed in Control Panel, Programs and Features.
See that link up there ↑↑ I posted.
