HTC android phone, help!

me again, this time I cannot add my location or weather, as it says it is unknown even though my daughter has the same phone, same phone company, she has the location. Also I cannot seem to connect to the internet as none of this happened when I first set the phone up. Maybe I have messed up the setting, so should I go back to default? Thanks.

Nope, the phone just will not connect to wifi, so I'll go back to shop with it tomorrow!

Thanks fender, I've4 done all that but no joy. I only got the phone this am and am wondering if they have given me the right contract, I've tried every which way to connect but just doesn't happen! Many thanks, am keeping your links as they are very helpful!

Just tried that but no good either. All I get is wi'fi
obtaining ip address from **** (my passwprd) and nothing happens! I shall resort to Hammer and nails which means I shall chuck it across the room, and it will probably connect. Thank you fender, don't waste any more time on me, it is either my silly fault, or the phone's and tomorrow (hopefully) I will get it sorted. Silly thing is daughter has the self ame phone, same contract, same company and lives here with me, and she's had no trouble!
