Archos mp3 player too quiet
3 Answers
I have an Archos 15 Vision and it's just too damn quiet (amongst other annoying things).
I know European 'nanny state' legislature dictatates that personal audio equipment has its volume restricted whether we want it or not.
I was wondering if there is any way round this so I can 're-restrict' it.
I know they don't have this legislature in the US so I went to their website to see if there were any firmware upgrades but it doesn't seem as if there are.
If anyone who can supply me with the magic answer I will go cross eyed with joy.

anyhow, Have you tried it with different headphones? I think Archos get round the legislation by basically supplying the units with low efficiency headphones and using different headphones releases the full volume level.
