Humax Foxsat HDR

I have a Humax Freesat digibox (Foxsat R_Foxsat-HDR/GB 6005167 61600516700583) & I wish to transfer a prog recorded on the hard drive out through the USB terminal to an external (USB linked) hard drive. I put this on a previous post & had good feedback re formatting ext hard drive, I now find that ext h/d has 2 choices of formatting NTFS(default) or EXFAT the Humax requires me to format USB Drive to EXT3 or FAT16/32, have tried EXFAT,doesn't work. Can anyone please help.Ron.

The above will allow you to format a larger drive in FAT32, but you are still going to have the problem that FAT32 not supporting individual files larger than 4GB, if you need to get rid of this restricition then you'll need to format the drive in EXT3, which becomes a little more complicated as EXT3 isn't a format that windows will recognise at all without extra drivers.
