Whats the weather like at Christmas in .....

Alhaurin de la Torre, Costa del Sol please, is it warm enough to swin in an unheated pool, and warm enough to swim in the sea, and is there anything open eg water parks, theme parks etc. Thanks.

No Its not warm enough to swim in the sea or an unheated pool in Spain at Christmas. It is warmer than here but not really sunbathing weather. You may be lucky but as a general rule you would need a jumper for evenings and maybe also during the day

Oh, where else would you say is warm enough but also not expensive, Gran Canaria is working out too expensive for the flights.

Spain isn't overly warm over Christmas as has been mentioned. To get a comfortable air and water temp you need to venture further afield and the nearest destination to give you that is Egypt as Mrs O has suggested.

When my parents lived on the Costa Blanca we used to go out quite often at Christmas. The air temperature could be very pleasant at times but definately not swimming weather. The first year I went I was determined to have a swim in their pool on Christmas morning (more fool me) it was so cold I managed one length before getting out shivering & very breathless.
