... what do you think Mr Trump is making of the warm welcome Mr Zelensky got in London from the leaders of Europe - and the king?   Mr Trump likes to think he's popular but with protests in his own country and the very obvious enthusiastic support from the rest of the western world for Mr Zelensky, will Mr Trump be regretting his abominable treatment of his Ukrainian guest?

i don't think trump "does" regret.

I doubt it very much, he doesn't have enough insight to see any other point of view other than his own, or humility to question his own behaviour

I think they stage managed that to try and trap Zelensky and get Putin thinking they're on his side so he'll get round the table.

I agree that Trump regrets nothing but will be jealous of all the attention Zelensky is getting from other countries.

who do the Americans spell "Zelensky" with 2 ys?

//will Mr Trump be regretting his abominable treatment of his Ukrainian guest?//

He will neither regret his behaviour nor care too much about what Europe thinks or does.

As regards the protests in the US, he will be wishing he could crush them, China style. Let's hope he's never given that ability.

I think that's how Ukrainians spell it.

Trump would have to have self awareness in order to feel anything.

His treatment of Zelensky was deplorable, I think he was surprised that VZ argued back and just didn't swallow what was thrown at him.

^There is no "correct" spelling...as you are only approximating the sounds of the Cyrillic alphabet.

I think Trump and Vance were hoping to ambush Mr Zelensky on live TV and get pressure him into agreeing to things without having the time to really consider his answers.

It was pleasing to see that he stood up to them.

I think Trump's mind will already have drifted onto something else...

Trump won't be regretting a thing.

He'll be quite happy that Europe has finally decided to man up, where have they been over the past 3 years? Our media has implied it's the UK and the USA who have helped Ukraine.

Seen many comments claiming that Zelensky was the one being rude. I think both sides need to think about how they responded in front of the press, and resolve to do better in future. It's in no one's interest to drive a wedge between involved parties. Cooler heads are needed to convince Putin to clear off, err... I mean agree a compromise. 🙄
