i have never been to the IOW. Can anyone recommend somewhere classy to stay?

I held off answering to see what others have said, but so far only one reply.

Cannot suggest a hotel, but the classiest "town" is Cowes, right at the centre top of the island.

This is where the Cowes regatta takes place which attracts all the rich boating types.

I asume there will be a classy hotel in Cowes.

The rest of the island is fairly homely (that is praise not critisism) althohgh there may be a classy hotel anywhere on the Island.
