Ryanair boarding pass format
5 Answers
Having just printed out my boarding passes for some upcoming flights, I am a bit concerned about what is not on them. Admittedly it has been some months since I flew with them but previously there was a kind of mosaic strip on the passes which constituted a bar code of sorts. This was then scanned in at boarding and often also when entering security.
My current boarding passes have no such thing and I would not want to arrive at the airport only to be told that my boarding passes are invalid. A hefty charge is levied for printing out at the airport.
Has anyone very recent knowledge of the Rayanair boarding pass format in order to confirm that they no longer incorporate this scanning technology ?

Clearly, Ryanair's website has dropped in quality of service to the point where it is configured to match only one or two browser types - I have not changed mine and now it no longer works on Ryanair.
There is to be a bar code on the boarding passes - I will perhaps need to buy a dedicated software package to be able to fly with Ryanair. Isn't it phenomenal how mutual back scratching ("commercial ties") force us to pay profit to all and sundry through rigging of the market(s) ? Or is this just a simple case of incompetence or being slack rather than doing a good job (web design) ?
