Actually, it is more dodgy driving in Malta than it is in Spain or France. they stop and give way whilst going round the roundabouts..........if my memory is to be believed.
true, douglas, are you being a pedant like me in an earlier thread (one of Eddie's)? I think most know what I meant i.e those countries where English is a major language.
Last time I was in Malta they colour-coded the background of car registration plates for - Private owned, Taxis or Hire Cars. At that time all the local seemed to give way to any hire car. Took me a while to figure it out.
you could go on holiday and just not drive Sara. I am sure there will be lots of places with decent transport networks - Italy or Greece are meant to be good (Italy for trains and Greece for boats). Went to Malta a good few years ago and it was great - and went to Gozo for the day. Malta remains the hottest place I have ever been to and that includes Turkey twice, Mexico and India. Jersey/Guernsey might be a good option too.
