Night out in Liverpool!!!!

Myself and three friends are off for a night out in Iiverpool in a few weeks...we spent many a brilliant night out there years ago in our youth like the blue angel, slaters but now we are hitting our 40s, we need suggestions of some nice bars maybe the odd cheesy one aswell!!

any suggestions would be welcome!!!

The Mathew area is really good, lots of lively pubs and bars. I had a good time in Flares.
