I've just checked a few web pages and everyone of them echoes DTCF's advice. However "remember to pack an umbrella" is frequently mentioned as well!

If you're looking for some cheap (and particularly appropriate) holiday reading to take with you, I can thoroughly recommend this:

Hey mahcaeh, did one of these a few years back ending up at St Petersburg for a a few nights. Most of the trip the weather was very similar to the UK, lots of rain. The only sun we had was in Tallinn and a day in Russia. So waterproof jackets and layers as mentioned. It's certainly not freezing cold, and on the ship you don't really notice. It was one of my favourite cruises, and i will definitely do it again in the future. Hope you have a fantastic time
Friends of mine got back from a Baltic cruise yesterday, they had a great time, apart from the weather! She said that all the photos feature her wearing a raincoat!
It sounded lovely despite that though.

just arrived back from the Baltic today- in St Petersburg the temperature was 90.5 degrees - rather too much - Tallinn was almost 90. We have not had to put a coat on throughout

Anyway hot or not- we have had a good trip and thoroughly enjoyed it, although due to a force 9 gale in the north sea we could not get into Zebrugge the pilot boat could not venture out to meet us so no visit Bruges- still think of the chocolate calories we missed!!!!!
Glad you had a good time, my sister did it a couple of years ago, she really enjoyed it.
